Wenatchee Valley Firefighters Benevolent Fund

The Wenatchee Valley Firefighters Benevolent Fund is a charitable initiative under the umbrella of Wenatchee Valley Firefighters Union L453, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities in need. Established in 2019, the Benevolent Fund is committed to providing support, resources, and assistance to firefighters and families facing hardship due to unexpected circumstances, such as illness, natural disasters, or personal emergencies.

The Benevolent Fund ensures that aid is provided with compassion and discretion, direct financial assistance, and emergency relief to those who are experiencing difficult times. Our goal is to empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity, providing them with the opportunity to recover, grow, and regain their independence.

As a nonprofit, we rely on the generous support of donors, firefighter assessments, volunteers, and community partners through fund-raising to continue our mission of providing a safety net for those in need. The Wenatchee Valley Firefighters Benevolent Fund is a vital resource for those facing unforeseen challenges, fostering hope and resilience in the communities we serve.

With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of one of our dearest members, Darin O. Radcliffe. Darin was hired by Wenatchee Fire & Rescue in 2002. His career included promotions to the rank of Engineer, Prevention Captain, and Assistant Fire Marshal. Darin was an active member of Local 453, serving on the executive board for more than a decade and negotiating several contracts over the years.

The loss of Darin has had a tremendous impact on our membership. However, it does not compare to the incredible void felt by his family. We humbly ask for your benevolence on behalf of our beloved mentor and friend. Any financial contribution will be delivered to his family and provide much-needed support during this difficult time.
